Uniqueness Engine is a business-to-business tool. Given a professional identifier you provide (a LinkedIn URL, a name + company, or a work email), it assembles a "personal context": a short set of fact-checked, publicly-sourced details about a business professional, to help our customers personalize legitimate business outreach and relationship-building. Every fact is attributed to a source and grounded in a verbatim quote from that source.
Our customers / users: the people who sign up for an API key. We are the controller of their account data. Subjects of a personal context: the business professionals a customer looks up. We process their publicly available or licensed personal data to produce a personal context. If you are a subject, your rights are in §8 and on our Data Request page. Website visitors are covered in §4.
About customers/users: email, API key metadata, billing details (processed by Stripe), usage logs (which endpoints, when, cost), support communications, and website-visit data described in §4.
About subjects of a personal context: identifiers and professional/personal attributes drawn from public sources and licensed data providers: e.g. name, employer, role, location, public social handles, and publicly-stated interests, affiliations, education, and activities. We do not knowingly seek out special-category data (health, religion, politics, sexual orientation, etc.); where such a signal appears in public sources it is labeled and may be withheld.
When you browse uniquenessengine.com we process device and browser data, pages viewed, coarse location derived from IP address, and (if you accept non-essential cookies) third-party identifiers.

Briefs are built from publicly accessible information and licensed data, including public search and web results, public social profiles and posts on LinkedIn and other major public social and profile platforms (including video, podcast, hobby/community, and professional sites where publicly available), public websites, public professional licensing and certification records, and third-party data providers. We require licensed data providers to represent that they collected the data lawfully. We do not access private accounts, bypass authentication, or purchase breached data.
We process subject data to research, verify, and return connection personal contexts to the customer who requested them, and to operate, secure, and improve the service.
Depending on your location you may have the right to know/access, delete/suppress, correct, opt out of sale/sharing, and limit use of sensitive data, and to object to or restrict processing. To exercise any of these, use the Data Request page or email privacy@uniquenessengine.com. We respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (for CCPA requests, within 45 days). Suppressing your data with us does not remove it from the original public sources or from other companies that independently hold it.
We honor direct requests at /data-request. Whether statewide automated deletion platforms (including California's DROP) apply to us depends on a counsel determination; we do not claim registration, and we do not claim an exemption, on this page.
We keep customer-account data for the life of the account and as required for legal/tax purposes. Cached personal contexts and query/output logs are retained for up to 12 months and then deleted or de-identified, except where a longer period is required by law or an open request.
The service is for information about business professionals and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly build personal contexts about minors. We do not intentionally infer special-category data for targeting; such signals are labeled and may be excluded. Where a person has publicly and explicitly referenced their own family (for example, coaching a child's team), that reference may appear labeled as sensitive; we do not infer family relationships from photos, names, or proximity, and we do not surface a child's identifying details.
Uniqueness Engine is not a consumer reporting agency, and personal contexts are not "consumer reports" under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. You may not use the service, in whole or in part, to make or influence decisions about employment, credit, insurance, housing, education, or any other eligibility purpose covered by the FCRA or similar laws.
We process data in the United States and use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers where required. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data; no method is 100% secure.
